FAQ

Lymphoedema is generally a chronic condition. The aim of care is to manage symptoms, reduce flare-ups and improve comfort, mobility and quality of life.

It can help when it is properly indicated and carried out by a trained professional. In many cases it is part of a broader approach that may also include compression, exercise, skin care and education.

Appropriate movement can be beneficial, but it should be guided according to your case, the stage of your symptoms and any medical restrictions.

When should I book an assessment?+

When swelling is persistent, recurrent or asymmetrical, linked to heaviness, discomfort or skin changes, or when it appears after surgery, radiotherapy or other medical treatment.
