How it works

A detailed functional assessment of the pelvic floor, followed by an individual plan combining therapeutic exercise, specific muscle training, manual therapy, biofeedback and, when indicated, electrical stimulation or the use of dilators. Everything is applied within your limits, with informed consent and in a confidential setting.

  1. 01Detailed history-taking and active listening to your concerns.
  2. 02Functional assessment of the pelvic floor, always with consent and with alternatives when an internal assessment is not possible or not wanted.
  3. 03Individual plan with therapeutic exercise, muscle training, manual therapy, biofeedback and electrical stimulation when indicated.
  4. 04Guidance on bladder and bowel habits, and a home exercise programme.
  5. 05Ongoing follow-up, adjusting techniques as each person progresses.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does the treatment hurt?+

No. Techniques are chosen according to the indication and your assessment, and applied within your tolerance and limits, with informed consent at every step. The setting is private, caring and free of judgement.

Do I need a medical referral?+

It is not required, but in some clinical situations coordination with the medical team is important for safe care.

Is the assessment always internal?+

An internal assessment is the gold standard, but it is only carried out with your consent. There are alternatives when it is not possible or not wanted.

Is it also suitable for perimenopause and menopause?+

Yes. The hormonal changes of perimenopause often affect the pelvic floor and benefit from specific follow-up.

Do you also see men?+

Yes. Although our focus is women's health, we also see men for specific male pelvic floor concerns, such as incontinence, pelvic pain and rehabilitation after prostatectomy.
